Fort St. Catherine is located north of the town of St George, Bermuda.
Fort St. Catherine History
Built-in 1614, the fort has undergone a few major renovations, most recently between 1865 and 1878. It was built on the shores where the British vessel Sea Venture was wrecked in 1609.
This wooden fort was built in 1614 to defend Bermuda from the Spaniards.
Visitor Information
The fort’s museum contains a gallery of dioramas, which showcase Bermuda’s history, replicas of the British crown jewels, small arms exhibits, and a cooking area.
