Although there aren’t many Castles in Switzerland, some of
the most picturesque ones are located here, on the shores of Lake Leman.
The Château de Chillon, situated on the shores of Lake Leman
(Lake Geneva) is the most visited castle in Switzerland.
It was the castle that inspired Lord Byron to write “The Prisoner of
Chillon” in 1816. The Aigle Castle is another beautiful Swiss castle which
also hosts a wine museum.
