Aquitaine is a region in the southwestern part of France and comprises of
the following departments: Dordogne, Landes, Lot et Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and
Gironde.
There are plenty of castles in Aquitaine, and many of them are in good
condition.
In the department of Dordogne you’ll find the medieval Château de Beynac, in Gironde the
Château de Roquetaillade or in the Lot et Garonne department you can find the Château de
Bonaguil from the 13th century.
