Alsace is a region in Eastern France bordering Germany. Although it is one
of the smaller regions of France, Alsace abounds of significant castles and palaces.
The most visited castle in Alsace is the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. The
Haut-Koenigsbourg attracts over 600,000 visitors every year.
Other imposing castles in Alsace include the Château du Fleckenstein or the
Château d’Andlau. There are other hundreds of medieval feudal castles in Alsace, most of them
currently in ruins.
